| | | FAQ | How long will it take for me to get my tea?
We process orders the same day that we receive them and send them the following morning. After that, it is up to the carrier. USPS generally takes from 4 to 14 business days. UPS ground generally takes from 3 to 7 business days. UPS 2nd day air usually arrives 2 or 3 days after your order is shipped.
Are your free shipping and flat-rate shipping offers good if I live in Hawaii or Alaska?
Yes, both offers are valid to HI and AK. Please take a look at Shipping & Processing.
How do I place an order?
Browse through our products and click on the "ADD TO CART" button when you find something that you like. You may also change the quantity for each product that you add to your shopping cart by changing the number in the quantity box located to the left of the "ADD TO CART" button. When you are finished shopping click on the "CHECKOUT" text at the top of the screen.
Is shopping online safe?

Do you charge any tax?
We do not charge tax on tea purchases. Teaware that is sold and shipped to a location in California is taxed at a rate of 8.25%.
What credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa and Mastercard.
Can I return something that I'm not satisfied with?

Is tea caffeinated like coffee?
It depends on the tea. Black, green, oolong, yerba mate, and pu-erh contain varying amounts of caffeine. Rooibos, and herbal teas contain no caffeine. Even in those teas that do contain caffeine, it is a fraction of what would be found in an equivalent volume of regular coffee. The amount of caffeine in tea depends on many things including the plant itself, the processing of it, and how you brew it (i.e. how strong you make it).
Is your tea loose leaf tea or does it come in a teabag?
All of the tea that we sell is premium quality loose leaf tea; our teas do not come in a teabag.
Do I need any special teaware or accessories to be able to brew loose leaf tea?
You can use any tea infuser to brew loose leaf tea or you can put it into a teabag to brew it. We stock an assortment of teaware and bags to help you brew your tea, check it out here: Teaware
How does Genki Tea package their teas and in what sizes?
Genki Tea uses high quality multi-layer heat sealed plastic bags with resealable zipper-tops that will keep your tea fresh until the very last cup. Visit our Packaging page for more info.
What should I do if the item that I want shows "Out Of Stock" on the Add To Cart button?
If we're out of stock of an item, it means that we have ordered it and are waiting for it to come in. If you would like us to send you an email when we have it, simply go to our Contact page, enter your information along with the type of tea, and indicate that you would like to be notified as soon as it is in stock.
